Barkham

This was the 3rd year for a special event called "Barkham", part of the Markham Village Music Festival this June. Dog lovers enjoyed a variety of events including "Canine Idol", "Ask a Vet", dog agility course relay races and the LARGEST SIMULTANEOUS DOG STAY! Dog owners attempted to break the Canadian Record and the Guinness World Record for the largest simultaneous dog stay.

Barkham was sponsored by "Helping Homeless Pets", a pet rescue that was created in November 2006 to help pets who need a new home and to help reduce the number of pets who may become homeless. "Helping Homeless Pets" directly supports Pet Rescue Groups and helps educate future and current pet owners. For more information, please visit www.helpinghomelesspets.com.
