4th Annual Anne Murray Golf Classic in Support of Colon Cancer Canada
On June 26th, over 200 golf players joined together to raise money for colon cancer in the 4th Annual Anne Murray Golf Classic hosted by Angus Glen Golf Club.
Since the tournament's inception in 2004, over $900,000 has been raised for Colon Cancer Canada. A major draw to this year's event was the immpressive list of celebrities from the world of golf, including 21 time LPGA champion, Sandra Palmer, Canadian Golf Hall of Famer, Sandra Post, and Lou Marsh winnner as Canada's top athlete, Marlene Streit. Also among the list of celebrities at the event was Canada's first female astronaut, Dr.Roberta Bondar, figure skating icon, Kurt Browning, musician, Tom Cochrane, Juno Award winning jazz singer, Kellylee Evans, and CBC news correspondant, Peter Mansbridge, among others.
